Just moved to venice/culver city from salt lake city, utah... not many rides at all out there and it bites knowing an having experienced it haha!!! anyways heard about the site from a guy i met at work said i should check it out..hope to meet as many of you cats as i can, and enjoy some rides!

I've been up there a few times over the last couple of years and I didn't think it was that bad.
Those hills going up past UofU were pretty awesome for climbing and then bombing back down later.

The Bikeorwave A westside bicycle co-op where you can get parts or repair your bike for a nominal fee. It is also where you can meet other bicyclists in your neighborhood.
Crank Mob Park (or Media Park) This is a location in Culver City where some bike rides originate from or where west siders meet to ride to Eastside,Hollywood or Downtown LA rides.
DTLA (or Downtown LA) This is where some of the best rides occur, because of the expanse of the city streets and the lack of real traffic at night.

oh dont get me wrong, im gonna miss the shit outa all the hills i had grown to love, but getting tortured by the cops there ona daily basis just isnt worth it, plus i hate snow!

oh man snow sucks major, my commute to work in SLC during the winter was torture.
6am departure with a 18 mile commute one was in 4 inches of snow is horrid, than you gota sit behind a shit ass desk for 8 hrs and bike home in it haha, well i should say i did have plenty of great kodak moments haha!

It's fun to see snow on vacation. It is not fun to deal with it everyday. The cold, the wet, the shoveling, the numb fingers...everyday.
I prefer to see snow on the mountains with DTLA in the foreground. I don't want to live in it.

I dunno, the cops up there seemed less asshol-ish than the ones where I currently live, that and I actually rode just fine when I was up there during a Feb '07 snow-storm.

yep tortured by the cops. its slc utah, cops there dont have shit to do but take advantage of all the youth that try and do something productive with the day, but i cant just justify those two reason for my leaving, it had to do with many events and 18yrs of dealing with that b.s just pushes a man to his limits :P.
one thing i do miss is going on canyon runs at night to watch the sun set over the city!
mountains to your rear, clear skys, crisp canyon breeze, and a tall can in my hand.
oh well many more memories to be had in LA BABY WOOOOOOOOOOO!

Noho (North Hollywood Metro Station)
Noho or the North Hollywood Metro Station is where a lot of the valley rides originate from. You probably have to catch the subway to this location (you can take your bike on the subway) or if you are inclined, you can ride over the Cahuenga Pass from Hollywood. The valley rides are pretty awesome too. Mostly flat, wide streets that go on for miles and miles. You definitely want to do a valley ride too.

in that case check out the Glendale ride its a chill ass fuck ride but we ride fast and long well we try to but time just flies when you sitting by suicide bride with 20 of your new closets friends drinking a beer talking about like bikes and more bikes and that fine ass crackhead girls steven always gets at lol
