Umm, maybe McCain was "supposed" to win too, but sprints on 1st wednesday now.

Dual pivot calipers are definitely worth it, but going from a lower end one to a 105 won't be that noticeable (maybe a little, but probably not dramatic). Make sure the lever and caliper are both designed for the same amount of cable pull.
and Kool-stop pads are the only ones worth using at all. Shimano DA pads eat rims- stay far away from them. A pair of kool stop pads is about $10-12, and ideally your caliper should come with shoes that have pads that slide in and out.

if you race, youre riding until someone beats you. they typically end around 11:30 or so, depending on how many people show up. k-town forge and gorge came up one night and hung out and i think that was the most amount of people we have had. there were like 30-40 people, but maybe only 15 racers. larry always has free beer, and its great to hear the old guys talk about the history of the valley. last month we heard stories about a shooting range that was built underneath one of the local high schools.

It got cancelled because everyone is a bunch of flakes.
no shows / lack of participation / and being late.
This was a super fun event with a great spot, to bad everyone punked out.

the last time i went, i got there a bit late and i think people just left.
that was the second to last sprint.
i think we should get it going again.

tonight! meet up at 8:30. Racing begins at 9 PM! Registration closes off after 9:15.
we'll start off with the beach cruisers/bmx
then go off to MTB
then we'll do a 3 man beer relay (PICK YOUR TEAMS)
and then off to drag strip races

I have wayyyy too many projects to finish before InterBike.
My internet penis is just the right size. I don't have a bike setup for sprints that is fixed. I also don't want to hear "you had gears" yada yada yada.

oh and it was going to be 2nd and 4th but we're just moving it to 1st and 3rd so that i can also make the 'bikery' meetings or at least try.
im thinking about putting together an 818 3-man alleycat race for the 3rd wednesday run.
