I can do a hand plant, a rock 'n' roll, and a bonless....in a pool. At least, I think I still can. Also, I can do some newer tricks (old) for sure. I can do a strong kick flip, a heel flip, a 180 kick flip, a disaster, sometimes a 360 kickflip, and I can do all sorts of lip stuff. But the only thing I can still do that isn't part of every skater's bag of tricks is a 180 or 360 underflip. I can also do a 180 underflip revert. Why am I telling you this? Why? Why? You won't take me to task, will you?

I went to Albuquerque to meet up with some old friends a couple of year ago...and we had the opportunity to ride some of Albuquerque's [quote, unquote] rad municipal skate parks. And, we also got to ride in a big pool, with old school coping. That was so fun. I sprained my left wrist and broke a deck, though.
Man, the ditches in Albuquerque are phenomenal. I would have laughed at this video when I was a kid. But , now it seems sort of fun to ride a scooter in the ditches. Morris ditch and Four Hills ditch were my favorites when I lived there. I kissed a girl for the first time at Academy Hills ditch. No one knows how fucking great that terrain was, except for those of us who lived there. Man, this is a walk down memory lane! When I moved away, I heard the cops really nailed the ditches. I'm glad I was there when it was fun, and worry free.
Where you see painted over graffiti in the above video, thats where some of the skate spots were. We liked snaking down the ditches,too. But, we had to get back home somehow, and we didn't snake down every day.
Okay, this clip has no tricks, but it kinda shows how long you could ride in a ditch in Albuquerque. You could go for miles....and when you hit a spot that was good for skating, there would be parking blocks and paint and people, every time.

I used to have a 3ft x 16ft. mini ramp at my parents house back in the day, i think the coping is still there if someone wants it.
I never street skated, but rode a wide double tail obrien santa cruz board, 169 independent trucks, powell bones wheels. If I had only kept my board, instead of giving it to my nephew, it got stolen two weeks later!
YA, still do the site when there's something to post. it's pretty much in an archived state at the moment. not much going on there. still gets about 600-800 hits a day. it was getting a few thousand hits a day when the movies "dogtown and z-boys" and "Lords of Dogtown" came out.

hells yeah! used to take the bus for hours to get there... and there was a ditch somewhere in west hills the name escapes me...... and tampa by rinaldi... and by glendale college there were the townhouse ditches which were featured in bones brigade 2. of course evreyone knows about bronson but who here knows about the viper bowl? or the oak wood bowl? viper bowl was more for bmx but part of it was skate-able... and there used to be more ditch leading up into universal lot off of barham. used to be incredibly skate worthy until universal got wise and laid down concrete worms in it. suckass universal spoiling the fun.
