my mom thinks its time for me to pay for my own dental work now.
how much does a basic check up and cleaning cost?
how much does filling a cavity cost?
bc ur at the age where ur mother doesn't pay for ur dental work.

If you volunteer to be a dental student's subject YOU get paid
04.17.09 - 3:19 pm

04.17.09 - 3:19 pm

I am relaxed dude.
I'm just making sure he goes and gets his check up. all sexy like and stuff.
04.17.09 - 3:28 pm
ahh Senor Borfo, I was talkin to Kims up there. I'd never tell you to relax. you can do whatever you want
04.17.09 - 3:31 pm
Can't you go to USC Dental school and get a check up for real cheeep. Teeth are genetic. Some people don't get cavaties and drink lots of soda, some people don't eat sugar at all and get cavaties every year. It is the luck of the draw.

Too bad there isn't a rider, or two, who is going to denistry school.
04.17.09 - 3:54 pm
I don't know how much a cleaning is, but USC dental school would likely be your best bet if you have no insurance. Or, there's a dentist at valley community clinic...look them up.

"my mom thinks its time for me to pay for my own dental work now. "=kims1
how old are you? this sounds like some young 18 y.o bitching about how he has to now pay rent!!
04.17.09 - 4:18 pm
sorry for the caps. i am very relaxed. but my teeth arent :(
im 24 yrs old.
i pay for all things kims1 but never had to pay for dental due to parent's insurance.
apparently i got kicked off teh insurance plan at the beginning of age 24.
and yes, i'm bitching about my dental work.
but considering people bitch about some of the most retarded things on this website, you have to cut me some slack. i mean come on, their teeth. i eat and chew shit with these things.

Dental Insurance doesn't cover much these days. Get out the phone book and call a few dentists and see what they charge for a straight cash cleaning.
04.17.09 - 4:36 pm
Well that actually makes sense. I retract my prior statement, I thought you might be one of those" aww man i gotta pay for shit my self now that i have a job type of dudes"..
04.17.09 - 4:39 pm
dude, im srsly bout to call them
my buddy apparently goes to some cheap spot somewhere out in IE.
the guys super nice, does a good job, and it's cheap.
downside is that there's no appnts so you gotta just wait if theres a line.
04.17.09 - 4:39 pm
my parents kickd me the fuck out right after high school.
they pay tuition and the rest i have to come up with on my own.
i have some friends that got the boot and have to pay their own tuition. that shit is rough.

04.18.09 - 11:35 am
USC / University of spoiled children

04.19.09 - 7:59 am
I"M GOING TO SCHOOL FOR A DENTAL MAJOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look it really depends on the dentist you go and see. My dentist is so cool he sometimes doesn't write me down in the books. He also volunteers at the city collage and encourages patients with low incomes to visit the dental program and have their cleanings and X -rays there. So check the city collages with dental programs thats your best bet and way cheaper.
04.19.09 - 11:11 am
I go here.
It's like going to a yoga studio. When I needed a tetanus booster after jabbing myself on a rusty bike it was $20...now they have a new dental clinic.
04.21.09 - 3:09 pm
To answer your original question. It just depends where you go.
You get a better price from new dentist who are building there client base. Established dentist with good reputations cost $80-$120 for check up, x-rays and cleaning. Fillings cost $120-$250 depending on the severity, but usually $125. Follow the dudes advice and floss you teeth. Maintain a healthy diet and reduce your acid forming food intake like sugar..
