Hay everyone. I met a number of you all a year ago at the ghose tide in Las Vegas. Ann love you. But myself and a couple of friends are frustrated with our rides here in vegas at the moment. the last few Mass rides were crashed by popo and i have the urge to come see how you guys do. I want to come sometime near the mid to end of the month. on a friday or sat. Sat would be nicer but i am happy one way or the other. Any one have any suggestions on something big commin up?

LVCM is last fridays of the month but looks like we will no longer be riding on the strip on that ride. the cops set up a road block this last time just for us and said weekends on strip are to busy and we will no longer be able to rider it. they got a nice clause in the law that lets them make laws at will when safety is at stake so they say if we keep it up they will require helmets. kinda shitty but its what we got to deal with. so.... feel free to come up. I just want to close out the seasons riding with something major fun. So Ill come there...
When is Santa Monica CM? or is there another ride thats more fun

I'm from Vegas. A couple of my friends have gone on the CM there and said that the cops bust it up quick and people act like morons. I haven't been on one there, so I can't say one way or the other.
BUT we all know what the strip is like on Friday/Saturday night (especially in the summer) stay off it!!! Choose to hold it on a weekday if you insist on riding the strip, or do it further down on the south side of the strip near Calloway Golf center or something like that, less people, but wide open smooooooth roads.
As far as details go, I would make people that are going to attend LVCM more aware of safety procedure for riding in the street, as A LOT of people there are oblivious to rules of the road. Maybe pass out "How to Ride" guides or post it in the same spot that they would go to to learn of the ride.
Cops in Vegas have NOTHING to do, so avoid em! Don't go into areas that you know will be teeming: UNLV, The Strip, Downtown, T&M... just cruise lightly populated areas first, build up your mass, THEN get CRITICAL!

If you just want to party, party real hard while having your bike near you and maybe riding it in a dangerous drunken crowd for like five minutes to the next place you can get real loaded, skip rope, write on the ground with chalk and pretend like you are having the time of your life for the next hour, then Crank Mob is what you are looking for. If your not enjoying it, then pretend like you are and force it. That what my experience with Crank Mob has been, boring as hell with little to no riding, and people telling you over and over that they are just having the best time ever. Brought to you by snobby organizers and the majority of people on it that normally never ride bikes All while being too intoxicated for their own good. The bright side is you will be sure to see an accident, if you are into that type of thing..
If you want to go on a ride with some partying involved then we have lots of great ones. Our usual biggie is the second Friday of the month 'Midnight RIdazz'. Sins And Sprockets on the third friday of the month was precious but I think that has come to an end. RObots on the seconds saturday (i believe, someone correct me if I is wrong) is suppose to be epic. A little crank mob but actual riding There is also the North East LA art gallery ride (SpokeN'Art) on the second Saturday, those are usually real cool if you like checking out art. First Friday is Santa Monica Critical Mass where you can mess with po po as they try to ticket you with whatever violation they can. I heard is as become real fun if you are into that type of thing. First Friday is also Ride-Arc, a faster paced ride where you explore aspects of Los Angeles as if you are on a field trip. Ride-arc is more serious, sober and intellectual.
Ask Nathan the Rabbi if you know him, he has come out to LA more then most from LV.
I would say try the second weekend of the month would be my suggestion. What kind of ride or experience are you looking for exactly? We have lots going on here.

Don't believe the NAYSAYER! C.R.A.N.K. MOB is awesome. There is riding involved, sure it's not that much (but not that little actually), but there is plenty of other fun, like bike jousting, jumping stupid mini bikes, jump rope, chalk drawing, giant cakes, pillowfight mosh pits, puppets, dance parties, sharecuts, jumpig up and down for no reason, group hugs, awesome costumes, and much much much much more!
