Background
Weldon Angelos, the son of a Greek immigrant and founder of a rap record company, was accused of selling marijuana to a police informant on several occasions worth a total of $350; the witness stated that Angelos had a firearm strapped to his body, but no photographs or evidence existed other than his testimony,[1] and Angelos never used or brandished his gun.[2]
However, section 924(c) of the federal code provides for mandatory sentences for dealers who carry firearms during their drug transactions; meaning Angelos, who had no prior criminal record, faced a minimum of 55 years to 63 years in prison.

The judge in the case, Paul Cassell (of the U.S. Court for the District of Utah) sentenced Angelos to 55 years, but said he had no choice but to do so and urged President Bush to commute it, calling it "unjust, cruel, and irrational", noting the sentence is much more than the minimum for Hijacking, kidnapping, or rape. On appeal the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit upheld the sentence.[citation needed] The U.S Supreme Court declined to hear the case. In spite of the fact the supreme court ruled in United States v. Booker that the federal sentencing guidelines are not mandatory but advisory only, they did not rule that mandatory minimums in the federal code (separate from the guidelines) are themselves unconstitutional, and in this case the facts of the case (Angelos carrying a firearm) were proven before a jury.[clarification needed] [3] [4]
Weldon Angelos has a projected release date of 11-18-2051.[5] There is no parole in the federal prison system.
On April 29 2009, a federal judge denied a request by Angelos for a new trial by rejecting a claim that his trial attorney mishandled plea negotiations with the federal prosecutor, U.S. District Judge Tena Campbell ruled that attorney Jerome Mooney had provided Angelos with "competent and thorough" legal help[6] This is likely one of the last appeals Angelos can launch, thus making it increasingly likely his sentence is final[7]

inaccurate.
he only opposes raids on medical marijuana dispensaries in states that have legalized marijuana for medicinal purposes. he supports all other federal marijuana laws.

Young Dick Grayson, circus performer with The Flying Graysons, watched in horror as his parents fell to their deaths from a sabotaged trapeze. Robin was a founding member of the Teen Titans, most of whom were originally the teenage sidekicks of older heroes: Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Wonder Girl. Robin was the leader of the Titans through most of its incarnations. Over the years, his relationship with the Batman became strained. He kept pushing himself to be as good as Batman, but knew he never could be. Finally, concluding that Robin would “always be the back half of ‘Batman and...’” he decided to complete the break and forge a new identity as Nightwing.
Nightwing eventually left the Titans. Returning to Gotham, he was called upon to be Batman while Bruce recovered from a debilitating spine injury. After Bruce’s recovery, Nightwing worked sporadically with Batman and the new Robin, eventually graduating to become a solo costumed hero with a city of his own.

nothing against herb directly in this article
don't slang federally illegal drugs of any kind while carrying a firearm, that's what i got out of it, and i will play it smart from here on out and follow this advice, thank you
