So many of you may know that i've been wanting to get LA's fixed gear freestyle on the map for some time now. Well that time has come!
I'm planning to shoot next weekend and i've already secured a
RED One Camera and crew!
Currently, i'm open to any locations anyone can think of that would
make for a wicked backdrop for these tricks, but we would need
to keep in mind that this shoot will look extremely official and
would need to avoid being close to police proximity.
Details will emerge over the coming week, just wanted to start
getting everyone stoked as I think with all the great talent in
LA, we will get on the map proper!
Also, because I will be funding this entire project, i'm asking
anyone and everyone involved to please donate as much
as possible to help ease the load.
Also, is it like PBS where if you donate X amount of dollars you get a VHS tape but if you donate $1000 more you get a VHS tape, a hand job, a key chain, a life sized poster of Mikey Wally, an animated gif of Brand2 doing a wheelie and an autograph'd picture of your bikes?
Venice Beach (potential police problems), Forest Lawn Cemetery Trails (BMX), 2nd Street Tunnel DTLA, The Black Wave, Hollywood near Sunset and Vine, Parking structure across from Disney Hall and ?
Anyone got anything to add?
One shot I thought would be dope, would be to line everyone up against a wall and dolly across everyone showing off everyone's unique character.
That camera is so freaking ridiculous.... I am just excited to see the fucking equipment.. Screw all these trickster hipsters! I want to touch a RED camera!
When is this ride? Where does it start? I'm serious I want to participate, I got my bike and everything, I can donate the use of my car and bike rack, if need be.
this shoot will be going on for most of the day, so don't feel discouraged if you can't make it at 10am. tomorrow's weather forecast looks shitty, so this may be the only day we're shooting.
@KiMS1 agreed on some of the tricks being repetitive. we're shooting more spots/riders soon and releasing a more complete video, with motion graphics, color corrected footage, 35mm prime lenses, dolly's, rolling shots, etc. this was a dry run if you will. as far as the bmx part, i agree to some degree. i've been riding bmx for 10+ years and i really enjoy doing tricks on fixies. who the fuck cares if i do? accept it, as it is here to stay. stay tuned.
