Tarantula Funeral Ride

START TIME: 2pm
I'm going to have a funeral for my deceased tarantula named Wallace. There will be a short ride afterwards in honor of him. It'll be like critical mass, except it'll be lead by me. Which means it won't be like critical mass. But it will, because there won't be a specific route, it'll just be me going wherever, and people riding along. Sounds great. I have bike parking in the back of my place for the funeral.

Don't worry, it'll work out. Marshall is down the street, and we probably won't be leaving on time anyway. Bike time!
As for being home by 12, it's up to you and how long you want to be at LOLympics. Or you can leave the ride before we head over to LOLympics.

I am terribly sorry to hear about your tarantula Chynna! That is most certainly unfortunate.

Funeral info:
Friday afternoon I'll be conducting the funeral for Wallace, who passed away August 13, 2008. He was a good pet, and I was/ am a bad person for not treating him as lavishly as he should have been. We will meet up at my house, bike parking in the back of my place, and then we will all walk up and climb to the hill across the street. That's where it will happen. Please come! Those who won't be able to attend will be mentioned to Wallace to let him know that they loved him.
Bring a blanket, a flower, food, anything you wish to take to the hill. Wear pants and shoes you do not mind getting dirty. Blankets will be needed to sit upon.

@chynna - my condolences to you... my apologies, but i won't be able to attend the funeral or the ride tomorrow. i'm sure it will be a lovely service and wallace will go to tarantula heaven... =)

Bike time means we wait for everyone to get everything ready and to finish what they're doing and to be a little more lazy while getting things together and waiting for people who are expected to come.

My condolence to the family. I know this must be trying times for all that knew and loved Wallace. I regret to inform you that I will not be attending this funeral as I wish to remember Wallace as being alive and a happy spider.
PS: If you can get some pics of Eddie crying, that would be awesome!

Don't feel bad Chynna, don't worry about it at all.
2pm on a weekday is a hard time to hit for a lot of peeps. I'm sure many people wanted to come (myself included), but I have to work until 5-6pm on weekdays.
TRUST ME. I would rather be out on my bike riding around with you right now.
You could hold a "Celebration of Tarantula's Life" ride sometime this coming week at night and I'm sure people would be willing to ride around with you. Celebrations of life are always more happy and fun anyway. You could even pay homage to tarantula with costumes and refreshments at stops along the ride.
Just an idea, might be a good reprise for you :)

My mourning ended the day after he died, so the funeral wasn't too bad. Celebration of life at night soon sounds good.....
Who wants to help me organizes? Jonny? Bondink? Raq? Coecoe? Everyone!? I'm getting too excited. I needz riding RIGHT NOW. And why isn't it CATURDAY yet!?!?!?!!!! Need CRANK MOB! And MOMZZZ! And SPOOK and EERYTHINGGG

dope. and sorry he died.
i been thinking of another pet, an exotic one and i think im going to go for a tarantula... and also a parot. the parot will outlive me im sure but will be fun to have for the rest of my life. i figure i rescue a baby young one from a parot resuce mission. some parot that's about 3-10 because goddamn they will live 60 - 100 years (depending on the species, the larger the longer they fucking live) it will be fun to journal the activities with this intelligent creature throughout the rest of my life. ideally i'd like to die close to his time if his is a long one of course.... that would be amazing if i get one now and i die with him at the tender age of 120 years of age. im 35 now so that would be... ( on a 7 year old parrot if i get one in 2009??? ) AN 85 YEAR OLD PARROT - AFRICAN GREY OR MACAU WOULD BE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE RESCUE BIRD.

i will too one day have a tarantula as well. spiders are fascinating..
especially domesticated tarantulas.
fact: most pet tarantulas sold in cali are california tarantulas...
the venom from a bite of one of theses regional pets is as dangerous as a bee sting and the swelling and abrasion caused by one is about the equivalent of a bee stings allergic and body's defensive reaction. nothing to worry about if you're not that sensitive to a bee sting's venom toxicity.

sorry that calculation was off. i only subtracted the 35 of my existence. my mind is altered. it's friday goddamnit! anyway so 85 minus 7 is 78. the fucking parrot would be dying with or close to me at the tender age of 78. i hope he outlives me of course but if he gets sad with my loss then he may, he might just... get sad and depressed and die and join me in the afterlife shortly after...
i know i'll be joining blue and my cat destiny someday in the afterlife... coz unfortunately i will be outliving him and her and many other dogs and cats to come in this journey we all call life. blue, destiny and the many other pets and your beautiful tarantulas and my tarantulas will be there with us to join us on the ever eternal spirtually and blissfull peace and paradise that awaits our souls.....
sorry i got phylosophical on your asses, it's friday and it's drinking and toking time y'all... im gonna stay home and make more repairs and adjuistments on my trusty steed black. he too got pretty banged up monday night. but he and i keep laughing at how i broke her goddamn parking light with my shins and calves of steel... poor blacks headset is loose and the fork tube is quite possibly broken at the starred spangled nut or cracked. i jumped of a bump like a ramp on the 4th street down hill descent through hill street (eastbound) from a right left turn out of LOWER GRAND... and when i landed i heard a disturbing crack that came from the headset and or the carbon bladed fork. i need to examine black before i ride him again. the car impact and toss may have fucked black up seriously. i hope and pray black and his front legs are okay... i absolutely love blacks front legs, i mean carbon bladed, windstreaming and slicing speed record making fucking absotutely fucking aggressive and stylish fucking fork.... i love my rig. BLACK.... YOU'RE GONNA BE OKAY BOY.....

I could still see that parking light tumble to a stop about 10 feet ahead of the vehicle and about 4 feet from where i landed on the pavement and on my frame (thus how i bent the handle bars)....
my legs and body were in the air while the bike was turned on it's side parallel with the ground (thus avoiding substantial or noticeable damage to the true in the wheels spin) so only the skewer bolt (non-lever side -right side) was scraped as well as right pedal (handlebars were bent from weight of lower torso and legs landing on top tube. (i spared my un-helmeted/unprotected skull from injury but seem to have banged my chin on my computer counsel and cracked the resign crystal casing on the display top side) and have a bump on my chin. ( my left shin [not the calf but left leg - latteral flesshy side of leg between 2 bone structure) was abraised by the parking lite that fell off. the funny thing about the parking light that fell off that no matter how redundant it is is that it tumbled and made noise before it came to a stop while i was still flying to a pavement tumble....

After this tarantula I don't believe in having pets like that... cats and dogs are okay, but birds in cages make me sad, and my poor Wallace didn't deserve to be in a terrarium in my room. He should have been out. In the wild.
