Mark and Rich, I love you.. sending mad hugs and kisses and more hugs... are you guys ok??????
11.8.08 - 5:02 pm
LAPD hasn't changed much from the Rodney King days.
Yup, they treat you like a King
11.9.08 - 1:53 am
I'm not sure if Mark and Rich have gotten an attorney yet, but here is another referral in case the other referrals don't pan out.
Amanda R. Touchton
Law Offices of James Spertus
1990 South Bundy Drive, Suite 705
Los Angeles, CA 90025
A law school friend of mine knows her and spoke very highly of her. She is a former federal public defender and now does private criminal defense.
Hope this helps.

With that video available, I'm thinking the defense is the easy part. Landing a conviction for "battery on a peace officer" with that video available to the defense strikes me as very unlikely. A good litigation lawyer, on the other hand...
Of course, as an LA county taxpayer, I suppose that's not in my own best interest, but someone needs to teach the jackbooted thugs a lesson, no?
11.9.08 - 8:16 pm
i want a fucking piece of that asshole in the fucking truck who punched the guy who tore off his fuckin yes on 8 sign. that asshole was protected by biass asshole pigs and is not in jail. someone explain to me how the fuck mark and rich got charged with battery on a fucking peace pig when these fucking pigs didn't do shit to that asshole in the fucking truck. i want to fucking punch the fucking lights out of that homophobic asshole in the truck and the fucking pig that through mark to the ground, the same goes for the fucking pigs that roughed up rich to the ground. that's right pig assholes. i hope you are reading this. go off duty and let's duke it out bithches. i got a broken collar bone, my left one but my punching and jabbing fucking arm is aching to fucking knock your teeth out. MOTHAPHUCK THE POLICE!!!!
11.9.08 - 8:31 pm
i believe the driver of the truck was "protected" because the person who tore the sign off his truck was "vandalizing" the drivers "property" and the punch was in "self defense". i dont know what that has to do with mark and rich though.
11.9.08 - 10:18 pm
Oh really??? Take a look at this video at the 6:00 mark. I don't see any difference to what the officer did as opposed to what the guy did ripping off the sign. Well no difference other than the this officer at the 6 minute mark used more deadly force.
11.9.08 - 10:25 pm
Can you restate that in English, Allan?
11.9.08 - 10:30 pm
calm down GOpez.
just bcs he voted Yes doesn't mean he's homophobic.
There was a gay dude at my mom's work who voted for YES bcs, as he states,"only those ugly gays want to get married"
11.9.08 - 10:32 pm
Take a look at the video at minute 6:00 and compare it to what the dude that got punched in the mouth for ripping the truck dudes sign off. I see the police's actions worst than what the sign ripper did. Yet in count and other people's argument was that he (truck dude) was protecting his right to free speech. Well then what was police gang doing? Doesn't the protester also have a right to free speech?
Now you'll say they both examples are wrong. Yeah but one is supposedly highly trained. That being the police officer. The other may not be highly trained. So the dude with a punched faced should be given more leeway in what is right and what is wrong. He certainly shouldn't have been dealt a punched face and the driver free to go.
11.9.08 - 10:55 pm
"--i believe the driver of the truck was "protected" because the person who tore the sign off his truck was "vandalizing" the drivers "property" and the punch was in "self defense".--"
how the fuck is that self defense and how is tearing off a sign which is a replaceable piece card stock vandalism???
11.10.08 - 2:55 am
well said. exactly my point. i couldn't have said it better.

Four years ago today. Here's hoping that the 4 states with equality on the ballot win, and that the Supreme Court goes our way in a few weeks.
11.6.12 - 9:49 am
Man, I remember that like it was yesterday. No good deed goes unpunished when LAPD is around!
