Free Rabbit

Need a good home for this little fellow.... It is just about 2 months old. I bought it for my kid but eventually he got bored of it and be honest we dont have much time for it anymore. I want someone to take it. Or does anyone know where I can take him?

i've been meaning to try this rabbit stew I saw on the travel channel. how big is the rabbit? did you get it from a shop or a breeder?

if matt doesnt want to cook it,
im gonna ask my roommate if she is okay with it.
we have a big loveable but really dumb dog and i wanna make sure the fucker doesnt eat it.

BTW, animals aren't disposable, yo. Getting a living thing might not be the best gift for a child, unless you realize YOU as the parent are going to be responsible for the animal. Buuuuut, i guess whats done is done. and i'm done.

I haven't read the post. i know everyone hates that. i'll be on later, hold on to the little guy I've saved bunnies before (on my bicycle) and care SO much for these little buddhas. I'm getting one from SD and really want him to have a friend !!!!!! let's talk !!!!!

Bunnies are awesome housepets and definitely not really good for kids- I got mine when I decided to keep her instead of fostering. Abandoned at 2 months in a rainy parking lot...

bunnies make awesome pets. if one of you does adopt, they're great in the house, as long as you tape down all your power and phone cords. i used to take mine for walks in the neighborhood.

Rtake what, like 5 minutes of care a day max? Is it too much trouble to give it water, change its litter box, and throw it some food once a day? By dumping your rabbit because your kid is bored and you don't think you have 5 minutes a day for it, you're teaching your kid that living things are disposable if they become mildly inconvenient. I'd suggest that you use this opportunity to teach your kid some responsibility instead (and maybe learn some yourself, while you're at it). Man up and take care of the rabbit. And then spend some time in an animal shelter, to see the magnitude of the problem created by people dumping animals like this.

Looks like people giving you a hard time. Sucks cuz you are doing the right thing by trying to find a good home for the bunny. Yes people do things that turn out not what they expected and I understand a pet purchase is not like buying a toy you can throw in the closet. Shit happens people. at least he didn't dump it in a park. Go stump for peta or whatever if yall so crazy about bunnies.

Dick come see the rabbit. It is well taken care of, cleaned, fed, etc etc... Before you open your mouth to talk shit i suggest you ask how it is or if its properly well taken care of. Learn responsibility? Man fuck you. Serious. If you so damn care about it how about you come pick it up and care for it your self shit talker....

I didn't comment on the quality of its care now, but I'm certainly concerned for your rabbit's care in the future. You know who LOVES "free rabbit to good home" ads? Snake owners. And, generally, homes that aren't "good." And your willingness to take it to a shelter reflects your lack of concern for the animal. As for me taking care of the rabbit, I have enough sense to NOT get a pet that I know I won't be able to take care of. I think things like this through before I buy pets on impulse. I've been dying for a dog for the last 6 years, but I have the sense to know that I wouldn't be able to take care of that dog properly, at least not at this stage in my life. In the meantime, I have a horse that I've owned for 10 years. I spend astronomical amounts of money on her, I moved her out here with me from Colorado, and I'm willing to bet she demands an awful lot more of my time, energy, and money than a rabbit would. When there have been wildfires (and in one case an escaped tiger), I've spent the night in my car next to her stall, just in case. I've had to make decisions about my career, relationships, and everyday plans in order to better care for my horse. And yet, she will be mine until she dies or I do, because animals deserve owners they can count on. They don't need our excuses. Surely you can commit to the short lifespan and low maintenance of a rabbit.
