North Hollywood Metro Station
This will be a hustle to and from Chinatown and then hopefully a BBQ at north hollywood park.
meet at no ho station at 4:00pm we'll leave at 430pm.
Bring: yourself, and anything else that you would need on a ride.

it's funny.
it doesn't say anything about your beloved wolfpack hustle other than the fact that it uses the word hustle.
that's like saying tuesday night special should have some weird grudge towards taco tuesdays because we both use the word tuesday in our names.
but niether TNS nor TT care about it bc when it comes down to it, it's JUST a bike ride.
and isn't it obvious that it's kinda hokey just from the fact that we're glorifying kurt russell and a racist movie that stereotypes the chinese?

i see RB's point but it's not like the ride claims that they haul faster than wolfpack.
and within the whole MR community,
everyone knows that wolfpack is fast and that anything associated with TNS/WNDSRS is drunk fast.
so what's the big deal?
wolfpack is too high and mighty to be associated/confused with a hokey "fast" ride?

i think that's pretty much the idea. i imagine if there were a ride that rivaled WPH in speed, they could race for the rights, but so far that hasnt happened.

KIMS I would expect you to understand out of everyone on here. I'm nopt saying wolfpack hustle is high and mighty. I'm saying it's unique. Wolfpack is NOT to be associated with any other ride. that's the whole point. It's not hard to realize that people create rides for people and create their own terms. Wolfpack is it's own thing. just like bicikillers root run TNS mom ridz the mosey are their own things their own vibes.
look... there have been disputes on here about naming rides and borrowing from other peoples names... and I'm one of the people who come down on the side of keeping one's ride unique as possible. so I get worked up when people call their rides hustle rides because I said it before I say it again... There is only one Hustle Ride. why? because that's what I named our ride concept FIRST. before the proverbial "you" did. so it's just as easy to come up with your own first concept for a name. Root Run, Bicikillers WNDSRS - great names! keep em coming it makes the scene diverse and interesting and it's respectful.
hypothetically lets say someone out there who heard about The Hustle Ride through our films or news articles comes on to this site and see the "whatever hustle" and mistakes it for a ride associated with The Hustle Ride or wolfpack hustle. and they go and it's a bunch of jokers getting drunk (which is fine in the proper setting) Especially these days when even Midnight Ridazz the ride is getting a bad rep because of all the drunks and conflicts happening on the hundred other rides out there, the last thing I want is for any other ride to be mistaken for my BELOVED wolfpack hustle. I mean that sincerely.
I mean it's really just that simple to come up with your own shit. Funderstorm! CRANK MOB CoN TNS the MOSEY.... I mean all of these unique names make our little bicycle utopia so much fun and so interesting.
I realize the Kurt Russel Hustle is a jokey type of ride.... the hustle ride is not. I take it very serious. there's no drinking, we encourage people to be safe and responsible and its a tightly run show. we've got 144 rides, and literally thousands and thousands of miles with very few accidents. no other ride has the mileage per safety ratio we have. I don't care to dilute what we got. just dont care for it. If I have to be a dick. fuck it. if ya think I'm being bitchy then fine. I dont care. I know you. you know me.

I'm happy and I'm not... I got all uppity because I already talked to I believe it was mattspeed before about this last year... so it came off as more of a "fuck you" in my mind for going with it anyway. I mean I'm not trying to be in your face Matt or come off like I'm making threats cause I'm absolutely not. I love that people get excited about fast night ride concepts and they sprung up all over the city.
it's really really just about keeping our shit NOT associated with any other ride.... you will never come out to a Hustle ride and have to worry about drunks swerving. I talk to every new rider on Mondays and drill it in to them that we are about safety first, no one is drinking, no one is weaving no one is blowing through lights wrecklessly.... and through all of that leadership we've kept the Hustle Ride from being associated with "party rides" and when people see us on the street in the right lane and being respectful to cops and peds it reciprocates. the last thing I want is for that to be diluted even in a jokey way. we spent too much time over the last 4 years to keep that rep clean.

I dont think anyone is going be drinking before or during the kurt russel hustle and there is nothing in the ride description to lead anyone to think there would be. Did you also assume the tour de valle was a drink fest as well? At least that one said WNDSRS presents. Hustle and Mosey refer to the pace of the ride and can be tied to anything. I hustle all over the place, but that doesn't mean I'm on THE hustle ride. Wolkpack is the unique part of the name, just as kurt russell is the unique part of this hustle.

For the past 2-3 months about 98% of the group no longer drinks before the ride. We've been focused on doing longer routes and bumping up the pace. Sorry for the confusion.
